The holiday season is upon us, and the pressure is on to plans family gatherings, get the
perfect gift, the best deals, or to consumer some of the most tastiest dishes.. But
this holiday season take some time not only to appreciate what you have, no
matter how little you make think it is, but Take the time to help the less fortunate, to teach our children to be appreciative and to be kind. There are countless ways to share this season, pick
a cause!!
Support the troops!
Feed the homeless or even help a family member or a neighbor!
Set an example for your kids, it will be the best gift you ever give them!!

Be Wise

What we are experiencing now is mother nature at her best or worst depending on
your perspective. The President has announced the seriousness of this storm,
Governers of various states have declared a State of Emergency and mobilizes the
National Guard. Yet there are some who choose to " ride out" the storm...I urge
these few to PLEASE heed these warning and evacuate to a safer location.
Ignoring these warning can have no positive outcome! Endangering your life the
lives of our young men and women to rescue you could be avoided.. Be safe Be
ready and most importantly please Be prepared!

There are moments in our lives that are so clear in our minds as clearly as if
they happened yesterday. Today I watch my children grow and learn, and as I
recognize some of the moments I smile and I think how crucial these years are
and as a parent the responsibility I have to make a memorable childhood for
them... No pressure right! My baby girl learnt to ride her bike without training
wheels this summer, she is very determined and was convinced that the sun was
not going to set before she could ride and she did it.. I am so proud of her!!
She may remember that day as the day she learnt to ride her bike but I will
remember it as the day my baby took another step toward her independence

This is Daniel, he is 102 yrs and 9 months old. He is one of the most amazing
persons I have ever had the privilege of meeting. Every day at about
2 pm he visit the family owned business, he reads the newspaper(new York times)
and has a cup of tea no milk no sugar. He lives alone and is fully capable of
taking care of himself
He is as sharp as a whip and has the most amazing memory.. I love to listen to
his stories be it about the war, or just family history.. He remembers the day
he joined the army and the minute to minute detail of that day like it was
yesterday, amazingly it was 68 yrs ago. He has lived through times when men
would come around everynight to light the keroscene street lamp, or when
firetucks were pulled by horses, through the great depression! He truly is a
walking, talking history book..my favorite is when he tell me about his days as
a young man, he was, and still is quite the charmer!!!! In this photo
(taken with my iPhone) he is teaching me how to fold a shirt Military
style....everything he does he has a method and a step by step process..I truly
enjoy my afternoons with Danny.

A Mothers love

Every picture, every image has a story, as a photographer I am privileged and
honored to capture these moments, moments that will be forever treasured. But to
know the story and history behind the image, a private
moment filled with love and emotion, something only the participants in the image know and
understand and maybe, just maybe, they will share this story each time the image is shown...
The image above is my first image on this blog it is simple but the story behind
it is powerful, it brought me to tears behind the lens, and even now as I blog
about it the tears flow...
The groom on his wedding day visited the nursing home to take his family
pictures with his mom, because as we all know moms are the center of the family
and often they are the glue that holds us together..
This mom unfortunately has been diagnosed with Alzheimer.
However on the her son's most special day she was herself and on request she
gave her son a kiss and responded to his I love you mom with I love you too!
On his wedding day!
The power of a mother love!
